Chocolate krispie cakes recipe

Snap, crackle and choc!

There are so many variations on this recipe but I think the simpler the better!ย This is so easy a toddler could do it (well he basically did!)

Ingredients:

200g chocolate (we used Dairy Milk)

Rice Krispies

Raisins

Method:

Break the choc into chunks (try to resist sacrificing too many pieces we only ate about 4 squares…) place it in a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water.

Once it’s melted take it off the heat and stir in the Krispies and raisins, you can add as much as you like depending on your taste. My toddler was a great help here!

Spoon the mixture into muffin cases. You’ll make around 7 depending on how much you put in each case.

If you can’t wait until they’ve cooled down they’re yummy while they’re warm but I think they’re nicest once they’ve set in the fridge.

(While I can’t give you a calorie count they can’t be as bad as eating the chocolate on its own! They’re virtually the same as eating Coco Pops with a bit of fruit (the raisins) thrown in! Well that’s how I justified it to myself after eating four in a row anyway…)
