Fuschia Make Up ‘Powder Contour Kit’ Review

Fuschia Make Up Powder Contour Kit

‘Megan’ just became my new best friend! This kit by Fuschia is limited edition and has all you need to contour and highlight the cheeks, brows, forehead and jaw line. I’m so impressed with the highly pigmented shades and the quality of the packaging I’ve made it my ‘Product of the Week’!

‘Megan’s Face Kit’ holds 6 stunning shades; 3 highlighters and 3 for contouring and you can also pick a dark shade to fill your brows.

Working from the left, the first highlighter has yellow undertones, the middle has pink undertones and the third is more neutral with a slight shimmer.

The first contouring shade on the left is a browny grey, the middle shade is a warm brown and the final one is the colour of fake tan which is guaranteed to be useful in the Summer.

Of course I’ve heard all about contouring but I’d never actually given it a go. I’ve used bronzers on my cheeks and a highlighter to give a dewy glow but this kit is all about bringing out your inner ‘Kardashian’.

Fuschia recommend that you use a contour brush (nope don’t have one of them) or small blush brush – which I do have phew. I used a combination of this and my foundation brush to apply the powder.

I know I have a pink tone to my skin so I went for ‘Vanilla’ (the middle shade) to highlight my  cheeks, forehead, nose and around my mouth then chose ‘Java’ (again the middle shade) for contouring under my cheek bones and around my hairline.

While the highlighter requires little or no blending you need to seriously soften the contouring and it does take a bit of practice to get the lines under your cheek bones in exactly the right place. There are loads of tutorials and diagrams online so I’d recommend doing some research if you’re a novice like me. Also, don’t consider applying any of the browns to the apples of your cheeks – remember the colour is very pigmented unlike bronzers.

I’ve loved experimenting with this kit and as there is a generous quantity of powder in the palettes I’ve barely dented it.

The kit has an RRP of €35 and more info and stockists can be found at www.fuschia.ie
