All aboard! I’m not normally a fan of travelling by train but when you’re a passenger on the Rathwood Santa Train you’re much more likely to be found singing than moaning.
Unlike the normal rail service there were no delays and after handing over our tickets we were asked if we wanted our cheeks and nose painted red.
I chose the wrong career! We’ve been playing with these 4D+ (occupation series) flashcards and it turns out that I was meant to be a jockey all along 😉
Up until now we’d only let E use the iPad occasionally for entertainment or for when we were travelling so when I heard that these cards have great educational value I was keen to give them a go.
Knowing that Santa will be very busy in the run up to Christmas I thought it was a good idea to get E’s letter written early! We actually made it the day before our trip to meet him at Rathwood but with all the excitement we forgot to post it.
We set off to see Santa at Rathwood, Co Carlow last Sunday morning and thankfully it only took 45 mins otherwise I think E would have burst with excitement. Remind me never to attempt a trek to Lapland.
